Quick post today to announce a small but important update to the North American Nature Photography galleries. Over the past decade, I’ve been collecting so many new images of native lizards in their natural environments all over the continent, that I have expanded the single lizard gallery into seven (same as I did last year with wildflowers) in order to make the galleries more digestible and interesting, and for those interested in the science behind the image – to see how anatomical and genetic differences and similarities combined with current taxonomic group categorization are used to classify our native wildlife. Below are the new five categories of lizards, and these will only expand as more of our native lizards are photographed and uploaded.

Anoles (Dactyloidae)
Gila Monsters and Beaded Lizards (Helodermatidae)
Iguanas and Chuckwallas (Iguanidae)
Spiny Desert Lizards and Their Allies (Phrynosomatidae)
Whiptails and their Allies (Teiidae)
Stay tuned… I just got back from the Moab Desert and other parts of Utah with a LOT more new lizard photos!
Sharing and commenting via the social media links below will help me greatly, and is much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
